Liz Here - we decided on a colour theme of peach, cream and grey. These colours are flattering and very in vogue this season. As these are not colours that the girls usually wear, their makeup had to be adapted, with peachy blusher and we used a Laura Mercier highlighter colour block to create a glow.
Rachel's dress, we had tucked away in her closet. We bought it at good price at the Expose Fashion event before Christmas. with simple cream pumps and a new faux leather jacket from Zara in a pinky peach tone and silver accessories, the outfit blended together and was dressy enough to take her from day to evening and comfortable enough to wear from 1pm to 6am!
Sophie's dress was bought in H&M abroad this season - an absolute steal at €25. Her dove grey sandals were from our shopping trip in Spain last summer. Her pewter coloured accessories matched well and a simple grey Zara cardi, to which we added a peach feather and jewel accessory (rescued from a H&M hairband) gave that extra bit of cosiness on a slightly chilly day. The shape of dress and slight sheen of the fabric looked very nice as she danced the night away.
With very careful shopping and making the most of what we already had, these budget outfits looked great on the day. and on into the evening too.
Sophie and Rachel here again. Our cousin Aisling looked stunning, with a figure hugging dress ivory dress with train, an antique veil, worn by both her grandmother and her mother. The day was filled with tradition and lovely finishing touches, garden flowers, home made cakes and happiness. We hope that Aisling and Jack will have a very happy life together.
