Rachel here - love the song......the video is more than a bit shocking. In fact I had to think about whether I would share it tonight - but there are only 300+ viewings so far! For those of you who might not wish to be shocked - skip the first 3 minutes! We are early viewers of this video, which like Lady Gaga's other ones, is almost a mini movie, lasting for 7 minutes. I wonder will there be a bit of scandal about it?? I suppose we have seen it all before - but there is something special about her as an artist and the song seems to get better and better each time I hear it. Have a listen......and a look! Let me know if you like it or not on our Facebook page and 'like' it!

Rachel here- Thinking about the Oscars tonight and all the glitz this Adele video popped into my head. Doesn't she look so good- it is a song with such feeling and her dress and makeup are so glamorous and suitable for the occasion. Mum says when we get all our style right - we glow with vitality. At the end of the video you can just see that she's just a normal girl with a great voice!

Rachel here - I have been trying to understand all this politics for the past few weeks, pictures of people all over the place and trying to understand what they are saying they will do for the country is like trying to do a big huge impossible jigsaw.  Today, I have been watching as people are elected, or rejected, having been selected, all of us wanting everything to be good in our country again - do you think that anyone can do this for us?  Do they have the answers or do they even know the questions?  It is very hard to have faith in any politician now, but I just hope, like the Snoopy cartoon says, that we can all learn from yesterday, live for today and look to tomorrow with.....HOPE and have a bit of fun along the way because life is short and we all have to do our best! We'll have to wait and see what happens....

Rachel here - OMG X-Factor last night was fab, fab, fab - even better than I thought it would be...... I suppose the contestants this year were of such a high standard that the concert was sure to be bril. I felt so excited all day and the whole O2 rocked to the music we all know so well from he TV series - I felt, with the big screen and all the other X-Factor logos and ads that I was right there are the real thing.

My favourite act last night was definitely Cher. Her singing was fantastic and she really got the crowd jumping up and down and enjoying themselves. For me, she is better live than on TV. Thanks to my friends who came with me for making it great.... we had a lot of fun. I just want to save up for the next concert now. I soooo wish I had a ticket to see Justin Bieber. Maybe if I wish hard enough - but hey....this is the real world! Anyway, there is a list of stars I would like to see - I just love life!

Just to remind you - here's a bit of Cher at her best.....

Rachel here - isn't it amazing how much fun we can have when a few of us get together for absolutely any reason. Last night in TGI's there was so much chatter, you would think we hadn't seen each other for a lifetime! It was a little end of season hockey get together planned by yours truly and attended by Hannah, Ruth, Kate, Sarah, Clodagh, Christine, Zoe, Emma, Zoe, Cathy, Jess, Emma, Sophie, Sophie, Shona, Lizzie, Jessie, Niamh and little me! The food was delish and the atmosphere great. Thanks to everyone who came along, you each made it special.

Rachel here- I was just reading this girls... what do you think of Justin in his little posh outfit??

''Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are "very happy to dress" Justin Bieber.
The legendary designers say they are big fans of the 16-year-old singer and are pleased he chose to wear a waistcoat, bow tie, shirt and jeans by their label for his appearance at the premiere of his debut film, 'Never Say Never 3D' at London's The O2 venue last Wednesday (16.02.11).'' - Style Bible

Polly models for the blog!
Rachel here - You all know our Polly dog, well she's looking good today..... she got a gorgeous haircut from our friend Ali (fairy godmother to Dandy Dinmonts and all four legged creatures). Her eyes are twinkling and she looks as if she is wearing eye liner!

Last week Ali sent us a video on Dandy Dinmont doggies - we're going to post it now so you can take a peep - they really are the cutest creatures!

Rachel here - Wezz was wild and wonderful last night and you were all looking great girls! Can't believe I lasted all night in the heels! What a relief that the exams are over and we have a whole week of relaxation and fun ahead. Quite a busy week actually.

Though the music was good...we could have done with a new new songs, like the new Britney.... what do you think of it girls??

I wonder how much Britney got paid to show 'Makeup Forever', 'Sony' and other products on her video? Who is she exploiting?

Sophie here - have just painted my nails bright red, as I'm off to Wezz tomorrow night. I'm going to wear a cool black dress, with net inserts at the waistline, that I bought in the New Look sale. It has an edgy designer look to it that I really like, with some brass studs and it is a great fit. Hope we have a great night out!

Rachel here - as I am wading through the last of the Mock Junior Cert exams, I was just thinking this evening..... roll on the midterm. I've been making a few plans... just to keep myself going through the last week or so. What plans are you making??
Looking forward to dancing to 'Whip my Hair Back and Forth' in Wezz on Friday.... to meeting hockey friends for a nice get together next week, to a date with my BF and lots of little chatty get togethers girls. You know I am the Queen of Starbucks... see you there. I've a few hours still free in the mid-term diary, if you want to you want to book me in!

Sophie here... I love experimenting with makeup and have decided that eyeliner is the key. It is easy to put it on for dressy occasions, discos and such, but daytime eyeliner for teens is a bit of a challenge. That subtle edge to your lashes that opens your eyes wide and bright, yet doesn't look overdone is what I have been looking for. I have been experimenting with colours and black can be harsh unless it is smudged away. I find the MAC black liner softest for this as in the colder weather the pencils can be hard. For daytime use, Laura Mercier have a black violet pencil which is more subtle, easy to use and less made up looking. I will keep experimenting and tell you what I find....
