Liz here - my gorgeous Rachel never ceases to amaze me.... she has just confessed that she was quoting me at school today trying to bring a feelgood factor to one of her classes. I suppose I've been avoiding putting too much up on our blog - as I really want it to be for teens, by teens, but it is also a way for me to teach all the things I teach my adult clients, to all the teens who want to know how to feel good about themselves and look their best too. You see, if many of the ladies I deal with, had learned all I have to teach when they were teens, they would not have the hangups they have today.

You know that I work as a Stylist, but you can also have a look at to see the other work I do. I am particularly conscious about self esteem. Good self esteem is a wonderful gift. It is something that even the most fragile of people can work on and build over time. Every time we give ourselves even a little compliment, we are building our self esteem. Perhaps this is something you can work on yourself. If you are struggling with how you feel about your appearance, be sure to talk to someone who cares as they will often have no idea how you are feeling and can help you see your good points. If you need a little more help, you can always come to see me, in total confidence and avail of my special teen rates at the lifestyle clinic.

From now on, I will be sharing lots of teen hints and tips on this blog and just in case Rachel got my quote wrong - it is 'life is your catwalk, choose to look good and feel great every day". Let me know what you think!

Liz here - we've been getting a bit organised recently, to turn our clutter into cash. We've put together a system where we all review our belongings, pack them in fruit boxes (free from the supermarket) - these are great as they double up as display boxes when we get our stand set up and then, even though we sell everything for just a couple of euro - at the end of the day, it all adds up. There are so many good things about this....
Firstly, there's the recycling aspect, then there's the kind of crazy fun day out which starts a bit to early, there's the good feeling of having cleared out and being organised, there's the feelgood factor of sharing well cared for belongings with others, for a really good price and last but not least there's the cash €€€€€€€€. I often feel reluctant to start, but feel just great afterwards. There are car boot sales all over the place these days and for this reason, I thought there would be fewer customers. I was completely wrong. There is a big and regular clientele. people just love a bargain. I love to see some much loved clothes and belongings going to a new owner who is delighted to get them for a cheap price.

Rachel here - today, my red leather jacket I've has had for years went to a lovely little girl for just a couple of euro. Her Mom was delighted with the bargain. Our collection of Sylvanians has gone to lots of new homes and our beanies have too. I'm delighted with the space in my wardrobe now that some of my clothes have gone to new owners. The buzz of the car boot sale was great. We had lovely home baked cakes from one of the stalls. I was tempted to buy a few bits and pieces, but having just cleared out, decided not to bring anything new home for now Some people bought more than they brought to sell! Anyway, we're saving! Clearing out my toys brought back so many happy memories. I kept a few of the special ones. Some things are just too hard to part with. So get clearing girls!

Rach here - The shrieks in the corridors meant that the results were out today. I waited nervously for the reactions. Some were people were overjoyed and others had disappointed faces. Exams are a challenge for so many people - I hope that anyone who did not get the grades they wished for knows that they are just great anyway, that there is more to life than exams and results and most importantly, that they can be anything that they want to be if they set a goal and work towards it. That's what my Mom says anyway - and she kind of knows these things.

Liz here - If you have done well, you are fantastic. If you have done very well and still feel disappointed - are you just too hard on yourself?. If your friends did better than you - what other things are you really good at? If for some reason you did badly - you can do well in future exams, just keep trying and notice all you have learned from the Junior Cert experience.

Rach here again - enjoy the celebrations and keep safe. Well done RK and friends - you are amazing!Just want to say, exams are a small thing when it comes to life - keep healthy, have fun and live life to the full!!!!!! Wow..... did I say that???? I get most of my philosophies from Snoopy!

Rachel here - will I ever forget my sore legs last week?? I had been jogging in the summer to avoid hitting the hockey wall in September - but guess what? it didn't work - I may be fit - but not hockey fit..... I'm delighted to be back playing a team sport, even though we were soaked to the skin last Saturday.... hockey is a big part of my life - I love the position I play and the interaction with other team members. I love the feeling of scoring that one important goal that will change the whole direction of the game and I love the sense of responsibility and the hope of getting to the later stages of the hockey junior cup.... imagine girls.... the Leinster Final... the croud cheering.... holding the trophy full of.....lemonade!!!! Wow. This could be our year. This is our year. Oh I wonder will I even get on the team.....anyways, see you tomorrow at 10.30 whatever the weather. Tough faces girls!!!

I don't know about you girls, but settling down to the homework is .... challenging.....knowing when I actually know something is .... even more challenging. I feel the weight of the Junior Cert on my shoulders this year. Any hints and tips, much appreciated. As the results come out this week (good luck to anyone who's waiting, especially you RK) I hope that you all get really good marks, so that all your hard work was worthwhile. SCREAM when you get them. Let all that stress out. Plan some great celebrations and if you do get a bit of a disappointment.... learn from it - go for it next time!! Fingers crossed. In the meantime, I'm off to do my!

Sophie here - after lots of rehearsing our show has finally taken place. I would like to say well done to all of the girls and guys involved - it really was wonderful to be part of such a great production. Everyone who came to see us has been very complimentary about the whole show, from the set to the costumes, the dancing, the singing and the acting too. It is hard to believe that the show we began working on before Summer has now taken place. The most enjoyable part for me was dancing with the group in the live show. It was so much fun.
